Ian is an Associate Creative Director at Zulu Alpha Kilo, a gutsy and fast-growing Toronto agency that was recently named Ad Age Small Agency of the Year in 2016. Zulu gained worldwide recognition for its Say No to Spec campaign that challenges the industry-wide spec work practice.
Over his career Ian has created campaigns for some of Canada’s biggest brands such as Kraft, Bell, Labatt, Unilever, Yum, Cadbury, and American Express. Most notably, he was the creative behind “The Movie Out Here” an internationally recognized branded content campaign that saw Canadian beer brand Kokanee release a full-length feature film in cinemas across the country.
His work has been featured in national newspapers, Variety magazine, countless online sites, and has also been recognized by numerous award shows including The One Show, Cannes Lions, D&AD, the Effie Awards, Epica, and the Clio Awards.
